Swine flu claims two more lives in Armenia

Swine flu has so far claimed 18 lives, Armenia’s Minister of Health Armen Muradyan told reporters following the cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

 

“We have carried out transparent work, and I think it has greatly helped raise public awareness,” Mr Muradyan said.

 

According to him, the situation is rapidly improving, with 99% of the patients recovering.

 

Speaking of the school break-up, the minister said that prolongation is under discussion.

 

“Ninety-four of 124 pregnant women remain under medical control. Also, we have 982 cases of acute respiratory disease of the previous 1,230. As to children, we have 170 cases less,” Mr Muradyan said.
